    Michael KoenigAs senior assistant dean for degree programs at Darden, Koenig has direct oversight and management of the enterprise resources supporting the MBA degree programs as well as leadership and management responsibilities over all the Darden academic operations. As Darden’s first executive director of program innovation, he works with the full set of Darden stakeholders to identify and build program and business-model prototypes and pilots driving opportunities for innovation in pedagogy, program delivery, and business model development across credit and non-credit initiatives.

    From 2001–07, Koenig was assistant dean for graduate operations with the UVA McIntire School of Commerce, where he scaled the School's graduate programs from 200 students to over 300 and helped launch an offsite degree section as well as a new graduate degree program.

    As an entrepreneur, he has business startup experience as employee No. 4 at Logictier Inc., a Silicon Valley-based Internet infrastructure company. At Logictier, he spearheaded the planning and implementation of a national staffing effort that took the company from four employees to 220 employees in 20 months. Before joining Logictier, Koenig was the senior manager for professional education at the Stanford Center for Professional Development, where he spearheaded the development and distribution of leading-edge full-streaming video short courses to a national audience over the award-winning Stanford Online technology.

    Koenig received a bachelor’s in political science from Miami University of Ohio and a master’s in international political affairs from the University of Kentucky.
