Brian Moriarty
Director



Brian Moriarty is Director at the Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics where he oversees the Institute's research activities and leads the Project on Public Trust in Business, a joint initiative with the Arthur W. Page Society.

Moriarty is responsible for leading strategic, market-facing activities with corporate and partner association audiences, as well as serving as a primary spokesperson of the Institute. He is a author of the highly-regarded report, The Dynamics of Public Trust in Business—Emerging Opportunities for Leaders. In 2010 he was selected one of the Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior by Trust Across America. He is an Adjunct Lecturer in Management Communications at the University of Virginia's Darden Business School.

Prior to joining the Institute, Brian worked in communications at the University of Virginia's Darden Business School and at Wake Forest University.  He has extensive experience in strategic planning, communications and higher education.

Brian holds a B.A. in Political Science and English Literature from Boston College, an M.A. in Religious Studies from Wake Forest University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Religious Studies at the University of Virginia.  His academic work focuses on the relationship of narrative to perception, performance excellence and organizational action.

He resides in Charlottesville, Virginia where he enjoys coaching youth baseball and basketball. He is on the board of the Carson Raymond Foundation, a non-profit sports-based youth development organization named in honor of one of his former players.
