Diana C. Robertson

The Wharton School
Diana C. Robertson is
the Joseph Kolodny Professor of Social Responsibility in
Business and a Professor of Legal Studies and Business
Ethics at The Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania. She was
previously on the faculty at the Goizueta Business School at
Emory University and the London Business School. Robertson
is an Academic Advisor with the Business Roundtable
Institute for Corporate Ethics.
Robertson’s
specialty is business ethics, and her research interests
center on organizational issues in business ethics,
particularly the impact of the firm on employee
decision-making about ethical issues. Her work examines how
organizations influence the ethical behavior of employees
through formal ethics initiatives, such as codes of ethics,
and via other organizational variables, including
organizational structure, pressure to perform, and
compensation and control systems. At present she is
conducting research using neuroimaging technology to
identify neural activations in the brain associated with
moral reasoning processes.
