    • Subscriptions to approximately 50 business and economics databases
    • Darden users may also access more than 500 additional non-business specific databases, such as ISI World of Knowledge and APA PsycNet. Learn more via UVA databases.
    • Staff are happy to research new and/or additional databases as needed

    Collection

    • Subscriptions to more than 800 print business journals and magazines
    • Eight daily print newspapers are available on site; additional international newspapers are available in Saunders Hall
    • Most periodical subscriptions are also available online
    • Additional journals, magazines, and newspapers are available through our database subscriptions
    • Faculty recommendations for new databases, journals and books are welcomed

    Document Delivery

    • Staff will locate and send requested articles and books to faculty members
    • The staff can initiate faculty requests for materials from non-UVA libraries

    Table of Contents Delivery

    • Library staff send Table of Contents (TOC) pages from newly-published magazine and journal issues to faculty
    • Using the library’s IntraREQUEST, faculty members may create and update their lists of requested journals for TOC delivery
    • Faculty members may also browse older TOC pages online

    Class Reserve Shelf

    • Faculty members may reserve textbooks and other materials for students
    • The library will purchase additional reserve books at the request of faculty members

    Research and Reference Assistance

    • Librarians can help faculty and staff develop research strategies and advise them on databases
    • Librarians are happy to search for articles on specific topics
    • Reference staff will search for and deliver data and answers to other questions

    Instruction

    • Librarians can train research assistants on how to use online databases
    • Staff can advise research assistants on strategies and processes for locating articles, books and data

    Facilities

    • Library reading rooms provide a quiet refuge for research and reflection
    • Wireless internet access is available throughout the library
    • Most study tables have electric outlets and network ports nearby
