  • Study Area

    Located minutes from the classroom, the Camp Library is a quiet place for study and research that is open 87 hours per week each semester with extended hours for exams.

    Class Reserves

    • Faculty may request that books and other materials be placed on reserve for students.
    • Reserved materials may be checked out for a limited time period (usually for 2 or 4 hours).
    • Reserved class materials do not eliminate the need to purchase textbooks. Reserve books are available so that students may study between classes without having to carry all of their books with them.

    Computer Access

    • Wireless access is available throughout the library.
    • Most study tables have electrical outlets and network ports.
    • Computer workstations are available. Many of them have two monitors.

    Electronic Databases

    • Darden subscribes to approximately 50 business and economics databases.
    • Darden users may also access more than 500 additional non-business-specific databases.
    • Most databases may be accessed online via the Darden VPN.

    Career Resources

    • Darden subscribes to the Vault and WetFeet career guidance e-books.
    • The Library‚Äôs career placement shelves feature books on careers, resumes and interviews.
    • Library staff can advise students on the best databases to research industries and companies.
    • Book of Lists issues provide information on major U.S. metropolitan areas.
    • Country culture books and the Going Global online database provide information about international jobs.

    Collections

    • More than 800 business journals and magazines and 8 daily newspapers are available on-site.
    • Most periodical titles are also available online.
    • Additional periodicals are available via our electronic database subscriptions.

    Research and Reference Assistance

    • Library reference staff can recommend databases for company information, industry information and other research.
    • The staff can show you how the database software works and help you develop strategies for finding the information you need.
    • Database instruction is also available one-on-one or in group teaching sessions.
