The Professional Advancement Course (PAC) in the University of Virginia Darden School of Business Executive MBA (EMBA) curriculum is designed to help executive MBAs adopt new behaviors and reach their potential as managers and leaders. There are two components: Executive Leadership Coaching As part of the "Leadership Practicum" component of PAC, you will identify and overcome a leadership challenge you are currently facing in your workplace. Learn more about Darden's executive leadership coaching. Career Advancement The “Career Advancement” component of PAC invites you on a journey of self-discovery. The course begins with drawing the map from where you are today to where you want to be as a result of the Darden MBA. Next, you will select travelling companions – colleagues, classmates, and mentors – who will serve as guides on your quest. Finally, you will travel the road ahead, launching your new personal brand and putting it to work for you. Along the way, you will give and receive meaningful feedback, which contributes to the evolving narrative that you will share about who you are, where you are going, and how the Darden MBA is advancing your career.
