Diversity at Darden

"One of the drivers of greatness of an academic community is the breadth of outreach with which it creates and disseminates knowledge.  At the very core of the breadth of outreach is the diversity of the community."

Diversity at Darden

The Darden School of Business is a thriving and diverse community of students, faculty, professionals, and alumni. The women and men of Darden represent a diversity of racial, ethnic, religious, cultural, socio-economic, marital, and sexual orientations. In addition, the Darden community is rich in its diversity of perspectives and world views, and we actively seek to include those perspectives in all forums of the School, from our discussion-based classes to speakers and other special events.

Creating a diverse class of incoming students is important and the admissions staff in each of our programs—MBA, MBA for Executives, and Executive Education—work tirelessly to recruit and attract the best students to Darden. Once here, the faculty are devoted to creating a learning environment that allows everyone to succeed. In addition, the Office of Student Affairs and the various student-led clubs and organizations provide academic and social support to ensure that students get what they want and need from their two year experience at Darden. At the end of their Darden career, students transition to become alumni who continue to help sustain and improve our thriving and diverse community. This cycle continues year after year, generation after generation, to create Diversity at Darden. Welcome to Darden!
