Biography

John Tyler Professor of Business Administration Samuel E. Bodily researches decision and risk analysis; forecasting, overbooking, and revenue management; and strategy modeling and analysis. He has written several books, a wide range of journal articles, and more than 100 cases and technical notes on quantitative analysis. In addition to teaching strategy and quantitative analysis in Darden’s MBA and Executive Education programs, he is a consultant to many corporations, utilities, and government agencies.

Bodily has served on the Darden faculty since 1977. Previously, he taught at Boston University and the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and has been a visiting professor at INSEAD Singapore, Stanford, and the University of Washington.
