Biography
Professor Clawson has published Level Three Leadership 4th ed, Powered by Feel: how individuals, teams, and companies excel (with Doug Newburg), and Balancing your Life: Executives Lessons for Work, Family and Self in 2008 and 2009. He teaches in the MBA and doctoral programs. He leads and participates in several Executive Education programs. His research addresses issues of leadership, career management, management development, and mentoring. He has authored seventeen book length manuscripts, numerous articles, and written or supervised the writing of more than 200 cases on a variety of topics. Mr. Clawson has consulted with a number of corporations and organizations all over the world (North America, Central and South America, Europe Asia, and Africa) on leadership development, organizational design, management development, career management, managing change and human resource management. He also has taught at the International University of Japan as a visiting professor.
Before joining the Darden faculty in 1981, Mr. Clawson taught at Harvard Business School, worked as a functional trainer for Mobil Oil Company in Japan, and served as an international banking officer for Wells Fargo Bank.
