Biography

Associate Dean for Faculty and Sponsors Professor of Business Administration James R. Freeland teaches in the Quantitative Analysis and Operations areas at Darden. In addition, he has served in many administrative roles at Darden, including Operations Area Coordinator, Director of the Ph.D. Program, and coordinator of the electives curriculum. Freeland is the author of numerous technical and managerial papers in operations management and management science and has consulted with many companies on operations topics.

Before coming to Darden in 1979, Freeland taught at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
