Venture Capital Investment Competition® (VCIC)
Learn to think like a venture capitalist by competing in the VCIC, an annual international venture capital competition run by UNC Kenan-Flagler. Darden has hosted the Southeast Regionals and sends its own team to compete in the VCIC regionals on another campus.
“Unlike business plan competitions in which students pitch their own ideas to investors, at VCIC the students are the investors, and real entrepreneurs pitch to them," according to the official VCIC web site (see "About the VCIC").
Get ready to talk equity with the entrepreneurs! Check out the Equity Simulator at OwnYourVenture.com.
Darden's team competed in the VCIC Regionals at NYU on March 6, 2009.
Contact Philippe Sommer, Director of Entrepreneurship Programs, if you are interested in forming a team of Darden students to compete in the next VCIC.
