Application Requirements:
MBA For Executives
The MBA for Executives admissions application is available on-line and is considered complete when all of the following items have been completed and submitted:
- Online admissions application, including essays and resume.
- Two letters of recommendation. We strongly recommend one letter come from your direct manager/supervisor.
- Official transcript for all undergraduate/graduate work completed.
- Endorsement letter from your employer. At a minimum this letter acknowledges your interest in participating in the program, its applicability to your career advancement and your company’s support of the time commitment required to participate. The letter can include information on financial support being provided, although this is not required. This letter must be submitted on company letterhead with an original, inked signature.
- The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score. Please note that you can self-report your unofficial GMAT scores on your online application. The Darden code for the executive MBA program is KC7-OX-30. You can also fax a copy of your unofficial score to our program office at 434.243.2332. Learn more about the GMAT.
Candidates who wish to submit scores from the GRE, LSAT or MCAT instead of a GMAT score are encouraged to contact the program office at MBAExec@Darden.Virginia.edu or (434) 243-3622.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for candidates whose native language is not English. The TOEFL may be waived if you completed university study at a school in which English was the medium of instruction or if you have several years of professional experience in an environment where English was the language spoken and written. Requests for a waiver of the TOEFL can be made directly to the MBA for Executives Program Office.
- Evaluative admissions interview. All candidates to the MBA for Executives program are interviewed by a member(s) of the Admissions Committee. - $190 application fee (submitted along with your online application).
