Darden MBA for Executives
Class of 2010

" The classmates are the secret component to the Darden education. With 65 other classmates with diverse functional and cultural backgrounds, you have a constant learning opportunity in and outside the classroom."

Learning Teams:
MBA for Executives

A core value of the Darden School is the individual student’s contributing to and learning from his or her classmates.

Each student is assigned to a cross-functional learning team where we believe that you learn best when you learn from each other.

Executive MBA learning teams are put together based on two things allowing for the greatest contribution to one another’s learning:

  • The diversity of a student’s function.
  • The diversity of companies.

Teams meet initially during the first leadership residency (August) and remain together until the second leadership residency (March of the following year) when they are reshuffled.

Students report that their teams typically meet virtually 2-3 times each week and nightly during on-grounds residencies. Frequency and timing of learning team meetings is up to the team and is not mandated by the Program.
