Darden MBA for Executives
Class of 2010

"The program is filled with people- faculty, staff and students- that really complete the experience. Quality programs are built on quality people, and I feel very lucky to be surrounded by such smart, diverse, funny and accomplished individuals. This experience is so unique, and I am confident that our class will remain connected personally and professionally for years."

Community:
MBA for Executives

An active learning community is an essential part of the Darden experience. Classroom debate, collaboration in teams, informal conversations with fellow classmates and faculty, engagement in the Darden community – all combine to create a rich and invigorating learning experience.

Classmates
We carefully select each cohort of 50-60 practicing managers to ensure a broad mix of experiences and perspectives. Diversity of thought, perspective, function, industry and demographic are taken into consideration when inviting applicants to join the Program. Focusing this diversity on business problems brings to light numerous approaches you can apply to the issues facing you currently, and in the future.

Learning Teams
Learning teams are a hallmark of the Darden MBA experience. Small groups of 5 to 6 students with different skills, experiences and perspectives work together to prepare for class and to complete projects. As a result, you and your classmates are better prepared for a rich class discussion and your work is more thorough than if you were doing it alone. Teams are put together at the beginning of the program by function and industry. Teams are reshuffled during the second leadership residency (leading change) and remain together through the end of the core.

Support Services
Throughout the Darden enterprise, administrative offices stand prepared to assist the MBA for Executives any way they can. This includes Darden’s Offices of the Registrar, Financial Aid, Career Development Center, Alumni Relations, and the Camp Library. Our goal is to help you manage all the details associated with your life as a University of Virginia graduate student.

The MBAE Program Office staff includes operational support, student advising, admissions and marketing, career advising and technology support. We are your first line of contact for any program-related issue that arises and are committed to your experiencing the highest level of service as a Darden student.

Student Life
The Darden experience goes well beyond the time you spend in the classroom or online. Whether it’s a conversation at the Pub, a learning team meeting or on the treadmill at North Grounds Rec Center, the high engagement aspect of our executive MBA program is an experience you will enjoy time and time again as a member of the Darden community.
