The spring finale of Darden School of Business Professor Ed Freeman’s course “Leadership and Ethics Through Theater” will take place on Wednesday, April 29 in the Abbott Center Auditorium.
“Emergency,” an original production featuring a cast of Darden students, will be performed at 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public. The play, written, directed, performed and produced by the MBA classmates, will showcase the students’ creativity and their presentation and communication skills.
Professor Freeman has been teaching the leadership and theater course to Darden MBA students since 2003.
“On the first day of the class, it was hard to believe that we could put on a performance from scratch for such a large audience,” said Second Year Alasdair MacFarlane. “Now, towards the end of the course, we know that we have not only learned a lot about theater, but have also taken away some really practical lessons about leadership and ethics.”
“Emergency” is intended for mature audiences only, as there will be some adult language and themes.
