The Career Development Center and Office of Corporate Relations continually develop and cultivate recruiting relationships with the top companies that Darden students want to work for. Some industries and smaller companies do not provide a typical MBA recruiting pipeline, and Darden has three main ways to help connect you with those companies: Off-Grounds Job Postings In addition to the companies that travel to Charlottesville, hundreds more post opportunities on Darden’s exclusive MBA job board. In total, approximately 700 opportunities are posted each year. Job Treks Each year, students partner with the Career Development Center to plan job treks in locations around the country and abroad. Job treks are a way for Darden students to visit and network with companies that are not able to travel to Darden for on-Grounds recruiting. Job trek visits typically occur during Darden School breaks (i.e., mid-December or early January) and generally focus on a specific industry. Recent job treks have been planned in the following industries: Finance Energy Technology Consulting Social Impact General Management and Operations Retail & Luxury Goods The largest job trek each year is the finance-focused job trek "Week on Wall Street," which is scheduled in mid-December in New York City. Alumni Network Another critical resource in the job search process is the Darden alumni network, which is spread around the world with 90 countries represented. Darden has the second highest annual fund participation rate among business schools — a strong indication of the long-term satisfaction of the alumni base.
