Energy Club

Darden Energy Club Logo

The Darden Energy Club's mission is to foster a collaborative community of students, alumni, faculty, and employers across the energy industry. We aim to enable our members to become responsible leaders who consider the financial, environmental, and social impacts of energy in their careers and personal lives.

Following from this Mission Statement, the Darden Energy Club has set the following list of objectives:

  1. Opening doors to careers in energy
  2. Educating members on the energy transition through events and experiences
  3. Building meaningful connections

We're planning a host of events and opportunities to advance these priorities. These include:

  • Site visits to nearby energy facilities
  • Educational sessions
  • Social events
  • Collaborations with other Darden clubs (e.g. Net Impact, Future of Mobility, and others)
  • Participation in case competitions
  • Comprehensive listings of energy-industry alumni and off-grounds job and internship postings
  • Hosting company briefings and facilitating connections with potential employers

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs.
