    Darden's Entrepreneurship Conference is an annual event organized by the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club (EVC) that brings together Darden students, alumni and community entrepreneurs to share their experiences building businesses and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. Learn more.

    Entrepreneurship Competitions

    With over $90,000 in entrepreneurial funds awarded annually, Darden provides MBA students multiple opportunities to pitch their businesses ideas to investors, peers, faculty, alumni, business leaders and the broader UVA entrepreneurial ecosystem. Darden's entrepreneurship competitions are structured to encourage collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas across a broad range of disciplines and schools university-wide, positively impacting the local community.

    UVA Entrepreneurship Cup

    The UVA Entrepreneurship Cup, also known as the E-Cup, is an annual competition that seeks to enrich the area’s entrepreneurial community by encouraging new ventures with the potential to address unmet needs, solve social and economic problems, and do so in an interdisciplinary way. The University of Virginia Entrepreneurship Cup for academic year 2015-2016 will consist of three different stages: Concept, Discovery and Launch! Each stage will have its own competition with varying judging criteria and prizes. The E-Cup is open to all UVA undergraduates, graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.

    Venture Capital Investment Competition

    The Venture Capital Investment Competition is an annual international venture capital competition run by UNC Kenan-Flagler. Darden has hosted the Southeast Regional and sends its own team to compete in the VCIC regional on another campus.

    Strategic Competition Initiative

    Darden will sponsor a number of student teams to attend certain strategic competitions in the areas of global leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainability, ethics and diversity. Contact MJ Toms for more information.
