• Tight-Knit Community

  • Good business includes everyone.

Darden’s tight-knit community, comprised of faculty, staff, alumni and corporate partners, is one of the world’s most collaborative.

We work together to help each other succeed, creating an environment in which everyone learns what it means to work, live and learn in a pluralistic, global organization.

    Tight Links & Traditions

In the University of Virginia tradition, a tight link exists between Darden students, faculty and staff.

Each morning, the Darden community gathers at 9:30 a.m. in PepsiCo Forum for First Coffee. This tradition of hot and freshly brewed coffee shared among students, faculty and staff invites interaction and celebration.

Each evening in the Abbott Center dining room, Executive Education participants, Executive MBA students and faculty dine together, to share ideas and discuss the day’s lessons.

Thanks to its smaller size, Darden is able to provide personalized attention to students, inviting them to form bonds that extend through graduation and beyond.

    A Community of Trust

Guided by the University of Virginia Honor System, Darden is a community of integrity. Established in 1842, the student-run honor system is the nation’s oldest and one of the University’s most cherished institutions.

The honor code provides a unique framework for interconnectedness and trust.

    A Global Network

While students are on Grounds, they feel part of a close-knit and diverse community. When they leave Darden, this feeling of connectedness continues and culminates in a vibrant, global network of more than 15,000 alumni in 90 countries.

The connections forged at Darden last a lifetime.
