According to a recent survey, 35% of Darden alumnae plan to re-enter the workforce after a hiatus in the next five years. Many women (and men) have had the ability to take time off work to attend to other matters – children, elderly parents, illness, charity work, etc. When they seek to return to paid work, they often lack professional confidence and can be intimidated by the idea of marketing themselves professionally. Further, their professional network is dormant and they feel disconnected from the current business landscape. To ease this transition, Darden Alumni Career Services has developed and collected resources to address the specific needs of this group.
