There are many opportunities to fund scholarships that offer partial tuition, including:
Charles C. Abbott Scholarships & Colgate W. Darden Scholarships
Charles C. Abbott Scholarships and Colgate W. Darden Scholarships consist of both endowed and current-use funds that provide partial scholarships.
Gifts of $250,000 or more provide a naming opportunity to be selected by the donor.
Here is an example of a recently established Charles C. Abbott Scholarship demonstrating a family’s commitment to the Campaign for Darden:
The Frederick and Margaret Kent Stow Abbott Scholarship, established in 2008, will help support the MBA studies of a student from the Midwestern United States. Fred Stow Sr.’s (MBA ’58) wife Kent was one of Darden’s first employees and head of Dean Charles C. Abbott’s secretarial pool. When she died, Fred and his sons, Fred Stow Jr. (MBA ’87) and Ralph Stow (MBA ’89), decided to commemorate their family link to Darden.
“We knew the scholarship would last for a long, long time. Darden has been wonderful to our family, and it’s great to give something back.”
- Fred Stow Sr. (MBA '58)
