The Alumni Services staff works with you and other alumni volunteers to encourage alumni engagement in the life of the School. The level of engagement is a direct reflection on the quality of the Darden community. Vigorous and active alumni engagement strengthens Darden and contributes to its status as a world-class educational institution. Darden would not be able to grow and thrive without the generous contribution of your time and talent. You are a vital member of the Darden Community and Darden could not fulfill its mission without your involvement.
Volunteers provide leadership to the School through formal roles as class secretaries, class agents and chapter president, as well as through service on the Alumni Board and other leadership boards. There are a variety of informal, short-term opportunities available, including:
- Assist with new student recruitment and placement initiatives
- Lead and participate in affinity groups
- Teach in the classroom
- Speak at student conferences
- Organize events
- Mentor students and other alumni
- Provide pro-bono advising in local communities

Know Someone Who Could Benefit from the Darden Experience?
If each Darden alumnus were to refer just one prospective student each year, we would be able to drastically increase the reach of the Darden School. The more prospective students you introduce to us, the more applicants we’ll have, which will help Darden become a more selective school — a factor taken into account in the rankings each year. We encourage you to Recommend a prospective student.
