Top Five Global Provider · Top Five Faculty (FT, 2005–2012)
Perhaps specifically difficult to define, “capability development” encompasses professional development, offering a broad range of approaches and strategies through which individuals and organizations can grow, enhance skills, drive change and thereby build better businesses — businesses built on foundations of heightened productivity, excellence across functional teams and innovative and entrepreneurial ways of thinking. Capability Development stresses the importance of people and the human factor, and reinforces the importance of the roles these individuals play in business imperatives. Darden’s programs in this series aid in empowering individuals to be strong and confident in applying their skills in multifaceted situations.
Through study in these courses, participants will have confidence, knowledge and skill in their abilities to take effective and appropriate actions; express their directions; drive the change designed through their visions; work effectively with others; and build on the knowledge and experiences of their team members — all key factors in designing stable management teams that are geared to make effective decisions and sustain success in their businesses.
