MDP: The Wellness Program

Participants can take advantage of a holistic approach to management through participation in The Wellness Program, a component of Management Development Program. The Wellness Program provides an opportunity to incorporate lifestyle changes that improve physical, mental, ­and emotional stamina — key components beneficial to successful leadership. Through participation, managers will attain the foundation for productive, creative and sustainable peak performance. The integrated course includes supervised group exercises, class sessions and personal assessments resulting in a Personal Wellness Profile™.  

Elizabeth Kinch, Vice President, Triumph Insulation Systems, describes the value she found attending this program and shares the importance of the Wellness component, both in her role as VP at Triumph and in her personal life.

Each participant will receive a Wellness Program notebook consisting of a wellness schedule and sections on:

  • Health Risks and Health Risk Appraisal 
  • Making Changes 
  • Exercise Options 
  • Additional Wellness Program Resources  
  • Lecture Readings and Handouts

The Wellness Program is led by Jolene Bodily, RD and MPH, Health Programs, Nutrition Jolene Bodily_MDP WellnessServices, UVA-WorkMed. She develops and delivers health, fitness and nutrition interventions for public and corporate clients, designs nutrition assessments and provides nutritional counseling. She also has spoken at numerous workshops and conferences on nutrition and health.
