Admissions Criteria
The MBA for Executives Admissions Committee reviews each application with an eye to the whole person. This includes your individual and unique backgrounds in these areas:
- Professional: the breadth and depth of your professional background. Your level of management responsibilities (e.g., oversight of staff, budget, projects, operations, etc.), career progression and demonstrated leadership.
- Intellectual: your potential to succeed academically as demonstrated through your undergraduate/graduate academic record, GMAT score, letters of recommendation and work experience.
- Individual: the unique traits you will bring to the Darden learning community; your ability to work in a diverse group as part of a learning team; your leadership potential; your commitment to others (community service); your interpersonal communication skills, etc.
We also review carefully your company’s endorsement of the time commitment required to complete the program. The Admissions Committee seeks candidates who are considered high-potential leaders with a current professional development plan.
