The MBA for Executives admissions application is available online and is considered complete when all of the following items have been completed and submitted:
- Two letters of recommendation. We strongly recommend one letter come from your direct manager/supervisor.
- Official transcript for all undergraduate/graduate work completed.
- Company Support Letter from your employer. At a minimum, this letter acknowledges your interest in participating in the program, its applicability to your career advancement and your company’s support of the time commitment required to participate. The letter can include information on financial support being provided, although this is not required. This letter must be submitted on company letterhead with an original signature.
- The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score. Please note that you can self-report your unofficial GMAT scores on your online application. The Darden code for the Executive MBA program is KC7-OX-30. You can also fax a copy of your unofficial score to our program office at (434) 243-2274. As an alternative to the GMAT, a GRE score will also be accepted
In a very few exceptional cases, a waiver of the GMAT may be granted to candidates who hold an advanced degree in a technical field. To request a waiver, please e-mail your résumé, academic transcripts and standardized test scores to MBAExec@darden.virginia.edu.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for candidates whose native language is not English. The TOEFL may be waived if you completed university study at a school in which English was the medium of instruction or if you have several years of professional experience in an environment where English was the language spoken and written. Requests for a waiver of the TOEFL can be made directly to the MBA for Executives Program Office.
- Admissions interview. All candidates to the MBA for Executives program are interviewed by a member(s) of the Admissions Committee. - $200 application fee (submitted along with your online application).
