The calendar notes when residencies are held and when final projects and exams are due. An important element of the program is the opportunity to interact in the evenings when you are at Darden; all students are expected to be in residence when on-Grounds classes are in session.

Classes meet about once per month in Charlottesville, Virginia for three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). Spread throughout the 21-month program, there are also four one-week Leadership Residencies, one of which is international. In between residencies, approximately one-third of the program is delivered via distance learning.
