MBA for Executives

Work-Life Balance in Darden's Executive MBA

Balancing work, family life and an MBA program can be difficult to manage. All of our EMBA students have demanding careers and many also have spouses/partners and children.

Darden’s EMBA program is designed for professionals with demanding schedules. The format minimizes time away from work and family by requiring students to come to Darden on average just once per month (rather than two times, like many other EMBA programs). Additionally, distance learning classes held between residencies are recorded so that if you miss a class, you can quickly and easily catch up at a time convenient to you.

  • An MBA With a Convenient Schedule

    Asilia Dinkins

"I chose Darden not only for its academics but also for its convenient schedule. Typically we come down for a residency on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. What I love about this is that it’s only one Saturday away from my family so it affords me the opportunity to go to my children’s sports or school events, while still being able to fulfill my dream of achieving an MBA." - Asilia Dinkins, EMBA Class of 2014
