The admissions committee reviews three broad areas in considering candidates for admission:
- Professional Experience: For the GEMBA program, Darden seeks experienced professionals (7 years minimum preferred) who have or aspire to have responsibilities across multiple continents and cultures. Your level of management responsibilities (e.g. oversight of staff, budget, projects, operations, etc.), career progression and demonstrated leadership will be taken into account.
- Intellectual Capabilities: The admissions committee looks for evidence of your potential to succeed academically as demonstrated through your undergraduate/graduate academic record, GMAT score, letters of recommendation and work experience.
- Individual Qualities & Characteristics: Darden evaluates the unique traits you will bring to the Darden learning community: your ability to work in a diverse group as part of a learning team; your leadership potential; your commitment to others (community service); your interpersonal communication skills, etc.
