Institute for Business in Society

Advisory Committee

Amgen Board Chair Kevin Sherar and Darden Dean Bob Bruner at Darden's First Coffee

Founding support for Darden's Institute for Business in Society (IBiS) was provided by biotechnology pioneer Amgen, leading security company Northrop Grumman Corporation, and global packaging company MeadWestvaco. As a Center of Excellence at Darden, IBiS explores the issues that affect the dynamics among business, government and society.

AmgenNorthrop Grumman and MeadWestvaco executives, as well as additional anonymous founding supporters, serve on the IBiS Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee, along with Dean Bruner and Darden’s faculty, work to identify the most pressing issues for IBiS, and to develop a suite of activities around them that will advance knowledge and shape business practices.
