Learn more about Darden’s international MBA academic opportunities:

Global Business Experiences

Global Business Experiences (GBEs) are one- to two-week courses led by Darden faculty outside the United States in March and May. Each GBE provides the opportunity to visit a different country and experience its business practices and cultures. Based on a unifying theme, each course includes classes and practitioner presentations as well as visits to companies, governmental agencies and cultural sites. Many GBEs include hands-on consulting with companies in those countries.

Recently, GBEs have been held in Argentina, China, Israel, South Africa, Spain and Sweden.

Global Field Experiences

Global Field Experiences (GFEs) are MBA electives that give small teams of students the opportunity to provide consulting services to an international company or organization while working closely with a Darden faculty member. At the beginning or end of each course, students visit the company on location to build on-the-ground knowledge and scope the issue at hand.

MBA Exchange Programs

Darden has reciprocal exchange program relationships with business schools around the world. These exchanges provide Darden students the opportunity to live in and learn about a culture different from their own as well as to welcome students from our partner schools to participate in the Darden experience.

Global MBA for Executives

Looking for a global opportunity outside of the full-time MBA format? The Global MBA for Executives (GEMBA) is designed specifically for executives who plan to work while earning an MBA and who have or aspire to have responsibilities across multiple continents and cultures. Over the course of 21 months, GEMBA students participate in a combination of six two-week residencies in China, Europe, India, Brazil and the United States and distance learning.
