Safe Space Training
Come learn how to be an effective LGBT ally in the workplace! UVa’s LGBT Resource Center will be facilitating a discussion with the Darden community that provides information on the LGBT community and how best to be an ally. Once the training is complete, participants become part of the broader Safe Space network. The Safe Space network is made up of university faculty, staff, and students throughout UVa who are committed to being allies of the LGBT community. We recognize that some people may not be able to stay for the entire training, so we will have a natural break at 2:30PM for those people that need to leave early. Lunch will be provided at the training.
