There are several ways that companies help sponsor the General Management & Operations (GMO) club. Please email Jenny Hammond for more information:
- Donating to and participating in the GMO panel. The GMO panel introduces a variety of companies that hire students interested in general management to all students at Darden.
- Sponsoring affinity lunches. Affinity lunches introduce companies to first year Darden students. Second year Darden students spend time with first years over lunch to discuss their summer internship experiences. A company can pay for the lunch alleviating the need for club members to pay.
- Sponsorship of the GMO Career Guide. Every year the GMO club publishes a guide listing all the students who interned over the summer. First years have the opportunity to read the guide and contact the appropriate second years to better understand their summer experiences. Donating to creating the guide offers a company an excellent way to get their name across to first years, especially those who may never have heard of the company before.
- Sponsoring the GMO Resume review. Once a year the second years host a session to help first years with their resumes. A company donating to this event will be formally recognized at the start of the event along with literature of the company being passed out to the first years. Better yet, sending representatives from your company to actually help review resumes is a strong way of building brand recognition among our students.
