Our Mission 

The Marketing Club at Darden is committed to helping our members:

  •  Understand the varied and exciting professional opportunities in marketing 
  •  Develop the necessary skills and experience to be successful in their career search 
  •  Build lasting personal relationships with peers, faculty and alumni 
  •  Build strong professional relationships with companies and organizations

Ann Redpath

Ann Redpath


Prior to Darden, Ann was a Vice President with Merrill Lynch in their Global Wealth and Retirement Solutions group, working as a product specialist. Originally from New York City, Ann received a BA in Art & Art History from Colgate University in 2009. Ann is going to Google for the summer of 2014.

Fun Fact: Ina Garten is her idol.

Hobbies: Spinning and Cooking.

Amy Wang

Amy Wang

Vice President & Treasurer

Prior to Darden, Amy spent her professional career in New York City in the retail sector.  She has 5 years of experience in the apparel and luxury goods industries, where her roles involved demand forecasting, pricing, and inventory management.  She graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with an undergraduate business degree.  Amy will be interning at The Washington Post this summer with a project on mobile monetization.

Fun Fact: Grew up in Texas, and spent high school in Taiwan. 

Hobbies: Cooking, arts and crafts.


Martha Dzwonkowski

Co-Director, Education & Career Development

Prior to Darden, Martha worked for a retail e-commerce start-up and then spent three years at Bain & Company. She came to school to transition into a marketing role in the retail industry, and found the Marketing Club to be extremely helpful during recruiting. She is looking forward to working with the board and organizing great career and educational events this year. She is interning at Target this summer as Merchandise Buyer.

Fun Fact: She lived in three countries and eight different states.

Hobbies: Horseback riding,  indoor rock climbing and wine tasting.

Grant Hou

Grant Hou

Co-Director, Education & Career Development

Graduated from Georgia Tech with a Mechanical Engineering degree and work experience in operations, quality, and engineering for GE, Lockheed Martin, and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. After undergraduate degree, Grant joined a leadership development program with Siemens, where he managed a business transformation project and transitioned through various Sales/Marketing roles. He came to Darden to pursue MBA to blend his diverse work experience with the general management curriculum to pursue a career in Marketing-Brand Management and will be going to Johnson & Johnson Consumer as a Summer Associate Brand Manager.

Fun Fact: Traveled the China portion of the old silk road and also have spent two weeks in Tibet.

Hobbies: Playing soccer and also serves as the VP of Outreach for the Soccer Club.

Navi Gunti

Navaneetha Gunti

Director, Communications

Navi is from southern part of India. She is an engineer by undergrad and has over five years of experience in software development and project management. She will be in South Carolina over the summer, interning with Crane&Co in their supply chain department.

Fun Fact: She loves gardening and watching old indian classics.

Hobbies: Photography, cooking and traveling.

Baker Woods

Director, Fundraising & Corporate Development

Baker is fascinated by how consumers connect to the products and services they use, and how businesses ensure they are fulfilling their needs. He loves all things Darden, UVa and Charlottesville, but remains a New Englander at heart. He's looking forward to improving the existing relationships Darden has with numerous companies, and is excited to bring even more support to Grounds next year. He will be the Marketing lead for realmy, an iLab backed startup focusing on improving the buyer/agent relationship in residential real estate.

Fun Fact: He can speak little known South American indigenous language called Guarani.

Hobbies: Photography and travel.

Sue ONeil

Susan O'Neill

Co-Director, Marketing Forum

Sue is a former consultant and corporate finance person transitioning into CPG brand management. She had great fun as Section A representative and have enjoyed being part of the DSA. She is looking forward to putting together an awesome forum with Sharif for the coming year. Over the summer, she is going to be doing brand management for Johnson&Johnson in New Jersey.

Fun Fact: She makes really amazing homemade baked macaroni and cheese

Hobbies: She likes to cook, run, go to brunch, and drink whiskey (not all at the same time).

Sharif Bennett

Sharif Bennett

Co-Director, Marketing Forum

Sharif worked in marketing and sales for over 7 seven years prior to Darden and sees himself returning to senior marketing role post-graduation. He’ll be doing marketing for Bristol Meyers Squibb this summer in one of their five therapeutic areas.

Fun Fact: 18 months of study in improvisational comedy at Second City Chicago and Chicago ImprovOlympic.

Hobbies: Watching baseball and writing comedy (not since he has been here at Darden though)

Alyssa Heilman

Alyssa Heilman

Co-Director, Brand Challenge

Alyssa graduated from UVA with a degree in History and Sociology.  Prior to Darden, She spent six years working in a project management capacity for a law firm, the Department of Justice, a startup consulting firm, and most recently for NYU’s fundraising and alumni relations team. She will be a Marketing Intern in Land O’Lakes’ dairy products division. 

Fun Fact: Growing up, she was a child hula dancer.

Hobbies: As one of Darden’s Honor Committee Representatives, she is involved in the Honor System at Darden and the broader UVA community.


Trishala Shankar

Co-Director, Brand Challenge

Trishala is from Singapore, with mathematics and music double major from UVA (double hoo). She worked at Hewlett Packard’s product marketing team in analytics and demand planning roles. She will be a marketing intern in Microsoft’s windows.

Fun Fact: Holds a diploma in Indian classical music (voice)

Hobbies: Singing, composing, watching TV shows and exploring new restaurants

MIchael Rumbaugh

Michael Rumbaugh

Director, Case Competition

After graduating from Temple University Michael worked at Teach For America, first as a middle school teacher in Jacksonville FL and second as a consultant/manager of teachers and principals in Houston Texas. Coming summer, he will be working in the i-Lab starting a digital marketing service for local businesses

Fun Fact: In the process of collecting every book he ever read.

Hobbies: Playing Chess and Running

Sara Lee

Sara Lee

Director, Social Events

Sara is originally from Chicago and entered Darden looking to make a career switch from a CPA to an innovative marketer. She looks forward to leveraging her education at Darden, new and established networks and prior work experiences to pursue a dynamic role within marketing. She will be the brand manager intern at Campell's this summer.

Fun Fact: She enjoys traveling to and attending world sporting events (e.g. World Cup, Olympics, Ryder Cup).

Hobbies: Running the hills of C-ville and rooting for her Chi-town teams (Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls and Bears!)
