Net Impact Club Leadership 2014-2015
Elizabeth Tual – President
joined Darden after working for two and a half years at the Institute of
International Education, a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C.
IIE specializes in international exchange scholarship administration for
students of higher education. For her MBA internship, Elizabeth will work for
HiComm, an iLab start-up venture aiming to strengthen communication
efficiencies between non-profits and their field partners. Originally from
Memphis, TN, she received her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Latin
American Studies from the University of Virginia. Elizabeth is an avid UVA
basketball fan and loves traveling in Latin America.
Jennifer Harris - Vice President, Speakers and Events
Prior to Darden, Jennifer worked
at J.P. Morgan in New York City as an investment specialist in the Private
Bank. She left the financial markets to attend Darden and broaden her business
knowledge across functions and industries. This summer she will be in Lima,
Peru doing social impact consulting with Emzingo. Jennifer loves traveling,
wine, and baking.
Alan Sung – Vice President, Careers
Alan graduated from the University
of California, Davis in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in International
Relations. Prior to Darden, Alan spent seven years as an active duty Marine
Infantry Officer and also as a Civil Affairs Officer. During his third
deployment, he conducted international development work in southern Afghanistan,
which gave him additional passion and purpose for helping others. At UVa, Alan
guest lectures for, and assists with an undergraduate class on international
development. At Darden, he is actively involved in the Net Impact and Marketing
Clubs. In the little spare time Alan has, he coaches CrossFit classes and
competes in Olympic –style weightlifting.
Hilary Langer – Vice President, Campus Greening
Prior to Darden, Hilary worked in international
consulting and supported water, sanitation, and agriculture programs in East
Africa and the Middle East. She is originally from Boston and majored in
Environmental Studies and International Policy at Colby College. Hilary
enjoys running with her dog, exploring local food markets, and spending time
on, in, or by the ocean.
Zach Mayo – Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Zach grew up in Chattanooga, TN and attended the
University of Virginia, graduating with a degree in Philosophy
and a minor in Classics. In the five years before Darden, he worked in a
variety of industries, including politics, non-profit international development
(including two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda), and several
technology start-ups. At Darden, Zach hopes to continue his focus on
entrepreneurship and to explore new ways in which the incentive structures of
for-profit business can be harnessed to create employment opportunities and
economic development in developing countries.
Rob Langdon - Vice President, Finance
Prior to Darden, Rob worked in PwC’s Banking and Capital Markets
Group in New York and Charlotte. While at PwC, Rob also completed a Corporate
Responsibility Fellowship with the group that sets national corporate
responsibility strategy for the firm. At Darden, Rob is a managing director for
the Darden Impact Venture Fund. He also is a portfolio manager for Darden
Capital Management’s Rotunda Fund, which focuses on investing in public
equities of companies that are ESG (environmental, social, governance) leaders
in their respective industries. Rob graduated from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009 with a bachelor of science in business
administration and a bachelor of arts in political science. He also completed
his master of accounting at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School as a Robert G.
Sanford PwC Fellow and obtained his North Carolina and New York CPA licenses.
Niti Kalra - Vice President, Conference
Niti graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology in
2008 with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. She spent five years
working with Royal Dutch Shell, both in India and the Middle East, before
coming to Darden to pursue a career in consulting in the sustainably-focused
energy industry. At Darden she is also passionate about Impact Investing. This
summer, Niti is interning with McKinsey & Company, New Jersey. Outside
of work she enjoys beer with friends, good music and swimming.
