As an ongoing program, tutoring at Venable Elementary School offers volunteers an opportunity to spend an hour and a half a week helping 3rd and 4th grade students improve their comprehension and reading skills. First and Second Year students, as well as members of the Darden Partners Association spend one-on-one time with assigned students helping them understand topics taught during their classes or reading with them during Venable Elementary School’s Extended Day Program.
This program begins in late-September/early-October. Tutoring opportunities are available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 – 4:30pm.
