Mike is a 2015 MBA
candidate at the Darden Graduate School of Business and will be a summer
associate in Eastdil Secured’s investment banking group in New York.
Mike came to Darden after spending five years in the real estate
industry. Most recently, Mike worked on the asset management team for the
Income & Growth Fund – a value add private equity real estate fund – at
LaSalle Investment Management, based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, Mike
had asset and portfolio management responsibilities for office, industrial,
retail, and multifamily properties in various markets across the US. Prior to
LaSalle, Mike spent two years working at Duff and Phelps in its real estate
team. Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelors
in Business Administration in 2008. In addition to following Boston sports Mike
is an avid Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball fan.
Prior to attending Darden, Matthew
taught 8th grade math in Atlanta, GA as a member of Teach For
America. Despite having 25% of his
students receiving services for Special Education or English Speakers of Other
Languages, Matthew’s students exceeded the average Georgia state passing rate
in both years he spent teaching.
Originally from Alabama, Matthew received a BA in Economics from
Vanderbilt University and worked in investment banking during college. He has also spent time working or studying in
San Francisco, London, and Cape Town. In
his spare time, Matthew enjoys water sports, playing the harmonica, and
competing in triathlons. Matthew spent
his summer working with EDENS in Atlanta and focused on development, finance,
and property management of retail real estate.

Eric is a 2015 MBA candidate at the Darden Graduate School
of Business and will be a summer associate in Eastdil Secured’s investment
banking group in New York. Prior to attending Darden, Eric worked as an Analyst
in New York for a regulatory consulting firm for investment advisers named ACA
Compliance Group. Over the course of his three years at the firm, Eric
worked with many of the world’s largest hedge funds and private equity
firms. He also had extensive business development responsibilities,
spearheading several marketing, recruiting, and global expansion
initiatives. While in New York, Eric also played semi-professional
basketball for two years. Originally from Oregon, he received a BA in
Economics from Stanford University. In his spare time, Eric enjoys
playing sports and spending time with friends.
Prior to attending Darden, Brian spent six years living in
Washington, D.C. and working in commercial real estate finance. He began his
career managing a portfolio of over $250MM of real estate assets at
CapitalSource Bank. In 2009, Brian transitioned to CWCapital Asset Management
where he was responsible for the resolution and management of distressed real
estate assets. Brian resolved over sixty transactions totaling over $500MM
across all asset classes. While attending Darden, he has been working as a
part-time consultant for a real estate private equity firm assisting in the
underwriting and closing of new acquisitions for the fund. Originally from New
Jersey, Brian received a BA in Economics and Religious Studies from the
University of Virginia. In his spare time, Brian enjoys traveling, playing
basketball, and Mario Kart for N64.

In his life before Darden, Russell was
a Licensed Architect practicing in Bozeman, Montana. He grew up in Staunton, Virginia and holds a
Bachelors of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
Prior to working in Bozeman, he gained experience in Virginia, Atlanta,
and Jackson Hole, WY. Russell enjoys
soccer, hiking, Virginia Tech football, mountain biking, and backcountry
snowboarding. He will spend the summer
of 2014 with the Boston Consulting Group in Philadelphia, PA. Russell is also a LEED Accredited

attending Darden, Jack was a Financial Analyst in the Investments Group at
AvalonBay, a multifamily REIT, with responsibility for all East Coast and
Midwest acquisitions and dispositions.
In his time there, he was involved in over $1B in transactions and
worked on the company’s $16B acquisition of Archstone Enterprise. Jack grew up in Chevy Chase, MD and attended
the University of Virginia, earning his BA with Distinction in History in
2010. He will be interning as an
Investment Banking Summer Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at
Credit Suisse this summer. He is an avid
fly fisherman, skier, golfer and tennis player.
