Justin Jed (Darden ’04) who is a Group Product Manager for Live Search Mobile (http://m.live.com on your mobile phone) at Microsoft graciously gave a live, video conference presentation from Redmond, WA on high-tech product management to interested Darden BTC members. He described the field, its scope at Microsoft, his day-to-day responsibilities, career advancement opportunities, working at Microsoft, and working in Seattle, etc. It was a great opportunity to hear about another technical career path at a high tech organization. Prior to Darden, Justin lived in San Francisco, was a strategy consultant for a small agency, and was involved with starting a few technology companies – one was acquired, one was not.

Intel employees, Ed Tipping (D'06) and Laura Smith (D’05) discussed how the Darden experience prepares an MBA for success in the high tech industry. They also were available to answer general questions about Intel and provided opportunities to network for both FYs and SYs.

Darden Graduate School of Business – Second Year Student / BTC Officer
Jeanne Barrueta interned this past summer at Amazon.com in a product management role in the Toys and Games category where she managed preparation for the online holiday catalog.Her previous experience is in the retail and non-profit industries in general management and program development roles.She graduated from Brown University in 2003 with a degree in History and is currently in her second year at the Darden Graduate School of Business.
Benjamin Chen (D ‘09)

Benjamin Chen has over seven years of experience working in the Technology Industry.He has worked for companies such as Internet MCI, Cable and Wireless, AOL, and Google in roles ranging from programming to program management.He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering and is currently finishing up his second year in the MBA program at the Darden Graduate School of Business.
Adam Healey (D ‘05)
VibeAgent
Adam Healey is currently the co-founder and CEO of VibeAgent, the hotel search engine. The site has been recognized by The Washington Post, Forbes.com, MSNBC, USA Today, and others as one of the leading new travel sites.
Prior to VibeAgent, Adam was the founder and CEO of Samba Digital Media, an e-services consulting firm based in Prague with sales offices in London and Berlin. While at Samba, he oversaw the company’s multinational expansion from two to 40 employees, successfully raised $2.4m of venture capital from institutional investors, and helped secure an extensive multinational, blue-chip clientele.
Adam has also worked as a management consultant at Monitor Group in the media, biotechnology, and national security fields, as a corporate venture capital associate at the media company Landmark Communications, and as a fixed income analyst for Solomon Smith Barney. He received his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business and a bachelor degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce in 1997.
