Originally from California, Brian attended Boston College as an undergraduate. Following school, he spent three years in New York City at a large investment bank. Deciding against a career in investment banking, he volunteered in education for a year before joining Darden.

In his free time, he enjoys golfing, squash and running. Last October he ran his first (and likely last) marathon in East Hampton, NY. Despite not spending a significant amount of time in California these past eight years, he's remained a huge fan of the Oakland A’s. In college athletics, his allegiance is split between Boston College and University of Virginia, two equally average football programs.
