Born and raised in Virginia, Michael came all the way to Charlottesville after working three years in his hometown of Richmond.

As the son of two English majors, Michael grew up in a household of avid readers and is himself a former Boy Scout. Though he attended UVA’s in-state rival, Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!), he is still continually conflicted as to where his ultimate allegiance lies. With a degree in Finance, Michael began corporate planning work for Altria Group. Apparently tired of a great job and endless family-time, he eagerly joined the incoming Class of 2014 at Darden.
