Students Host Online Chat in China


Four Darden School of Business students will host an online chat for prospective MBA students from China on, a popular Chinese Web site this Saturday, October 17, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m (Beijing time).

Second Year students Dawei Li, Sharon Jiang and Sonia Shi and First Year student Lei Wang will provide a brief introduction about Darden, followed by a question and answer session. For more information, visit

Later this month, UVaClubs of China and University of Virginia President John T. Casteen III will host receptions in Beijing and Shanghai. Casteen will deliver a report on the state of the University at a reception in Beijing on Thursday, October 29 and in Shanghai on Saturday, October 31. Many Darden alumni will be in attendance.

While in China, Casteen will also deliver keynote remarks at the third International Conference on World-Class Universities in Shanghai on November 3. Read more in UVA Today.

Darden graduate Jerry Peng (MBA ‘03) is the incoming president for the UVaClub of China-Beijing. Graduate Shaojian Zhang (MBA ’99) serves on the steering committee for the UVaClub of China-Shanghai, and Winston Wang (MBA ’03) will serve on the UVaClub of China-Beijing Board.
