Admission of international students to the University of Virginia is subject to U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulations. University policy states: “Only those international students who are maintaining valid and lawful status in the U.S. which permits full-time study at a college or university will be permitted to enroll full-time at the University of Virginia.” It is the student’s responsibility to comply with all government regulations regarding appropriate visa status. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the offer of admission. Please go to the University of Virginia International Studies Office (ISO) webpage for international students: http://www.virginia.edu/iso/issp/ and review it carefully to determine what documentation you need to submit. Should you have any questions about this process, please contact ISO directly at +1 (434) 982-3010.
