EVC at Darden
The Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club at Darden (EVC) serves
students and alumni who are interested in starting and/or investing in
early-stage companies. By hosting networking events, speakers, educational
seminars, competitions and other events, the EVC Club provides multiple
opportunities to learn and become involved in the entrepreneurial community at
Darden, in Charlottesville and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Welcome Darden Class of 2015!
The EVC Club welcomes you the Darden
Community! We have an exciting year planned for 2013–2014. In addition to the
venture capital boot camp, concept competition, business plan competition and
fireside chats, we have partnered with other clubs at Darden to make this year's
E-Conference truly world-class. It is no wonder that EVC was ranked by students
as one of the top student organizations at Darden! EVC is also one of the
largest Darden clubs with over 200 members in 2013.
Darden is an amazing
experience with a sometimes overwhelming quantity of alternatives. Is EVC
membership right for you?
- Are you interested in starting a
business, either immediately after graduation or sometime during your
professional career?
- Do you have a business idea and would like to
develop and refine it during your Darden experience?
- Are you interested
in competing in either the UVA Business Concept Competition or UVA Business Plan
Competition?
- Are you passionate about corporate innovation, building a
business within an existing business?
- Do you plan to raise venture
capital funding or want to learn more about the process?
- Are you
interested in buying and growing a business?
If you answered "yes"
to any of these, then EVC membership definitely is right for you. Benefits
include admission to all EVC education and speaker series events (meals
included), eligibility for the venture capital boot camp, inclusion in our
résumé book and much more.
