Executive Director, Career Consultant & Executive Coach

Gopika Spaenle is the Executive Director of the Armstrong Alumni Career Services Center. Previously, she served as managing director of the Career Center for Professional Programs at Darden. Based in Rosslyn, Virginia, she led coaching, career education and employer engagement programming for Executive MBA, Part-Time MBA, and M.S. in Business Analytics students. A certified MBA career coach, she has considerable experience advising professionals and leading career development initiatives across graduate business education.

Prior to joining Darden, Gopika was Director at the MBA Career Center at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Before Georgetown, she held a leadership role at EAB, where she led account management teams during a period of organizational growth and transformation for the firm’s higher education division.

Earlier in her career, Gopika spent eight years at INSEAD in Singapore, where she led global marketing and admissions initiatives for the region. She also held marketing and sales roles in the healthcare sector at Novartis and The Advisory Board Company. Her international experience includes living and working in Switzerland, Australia and Singapore.

Gopika holds a bachelor's degree in History from Amherst College, a master’s degree from University of Oxford and an MBA from IMD Business School.
