Jarrett has extensive experience in leadership positions with international organizations, including roles in human resources, finance, strategic planning, and operations; and he maintains an active teaching presence in graduate and business school education.David is currently Head, Organizational Effectiveness for CFA Institute, where he is responsible for global programs that support the organization’s performance and cultural health. His scope of work includes talent development and management, employee engagement, performance management, and change management. In his role, he counsels leaders at all levels on leadership and organizational practice.Previously, David led the North American human resources function for Clariant, the Swiss chemicals manufacturer. In a long career with Clariant, he had assignments in North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Switzerland, and held positions as diverse as division controller, director of planning, quality systems manager, and project manager of an information systems rollout. Prior to attending Darden as a student, David was a journalist at the Greensboro Daily News in North Carolina. Before joining the Darden faculty, David taught change management in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of George Washington University; and international business in the Belk College of Business, University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In addition to Darden, he also has been a frequent guest lecturer at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University; and the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina.
