Ozlem Yildiz's research is focused on the economics of and process improvements in service systems. In particular, her research concentrates on alleviating the congestion in service systems through designing payment schemes and process improvements. Yildiz's work is largely motivated by and can typically be applied in health care settings. She has worked closely with the Emergency Department and Transporter System of the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital.
Yildiz teaches the core operations management course in the full-time MBA program at Darden. Prior to joining Darden, she taught at the MBA and EMBA programs of Simon Business School and London Business School at Rochester, London and Dubai.
Yildiz holds an M.S. in business administration and a Ph.D. in operations management from the University of Rochester, Simon Business School.
