The single most frequently asked question that I get from prospective students is: after two years, would I make same decisions to come back to Darden if I get a chance to do it from the beginning? My answer, without a moment of hesitation, is yes. It may sound very cliche, but my experience at Darden was truly eye-opening. Coming from Silicon Valley prior to Darden in the B2B infrastructure business, I was struggling to understand how different businesses worked in traditional industries where my customers originated (I only worked in asset management and tech operations beforehand), as well as searching for ways to positively affect society in long run with what I do. Surrounding myself with people who understood my passion, and building a close relationship (beyond networking) with my professors, my two years at Darden helped me to not only construct my thoughts, but also effectively communicate with other people. I truly believe that Darden made me a better person, not just a better future manager.
