Healthcare Club

History and Mission

The University of Virginia Darden School of Business Healthcare Club (HCC) was established in the Fall of 2015 with the mission of bringing together all members of the wide-reaching Darden Community who are passionate about the healthcare industry. Since its inception, the Healthcare Club has been devoted to building the healthcare community at Darden through educational programming, community engagement, and career support.

The Healthcare Club firmly believes in creating space where current and future leaders can discuss critical issues, collaborate to solve pressing problems, and find career opportunities that enable them to drive positive change in the world's healthcare systems.

The HCC’s supports Darden students in 3 key ways:

  1. Career Support: The HCC coordinates with companies and recruiters to host networking events, company briefs, and circulate job and internship opportunities to students. The club also organizes upskilling opportunities such as resume reviews and interview prep.
  2. Educational Programming: The HCC organizes lunch & learns, fireside chats, and panels with key opinion leaders throughout various healthcare sub-industries.
  3. Relationship Building: The HCC hosts networking events to provide club members with opportunities to mingle with one another and relevant faculty, staff, alumni, graduate students in other University healthcare-focused programs, etc.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization's contracts, acts or omissions.
