Hoos Venturing

WHAT IS HOOS VENTURING? Hoos Venturing is a 6-week program that prepares UVA startup founders to grow their venture. The program features synchronous and asynchronous components to guide founders through taking their idea of how to solve a problem and bringing it to life. For those with a problem they would like to solve with the creation of a product or service, Hoos Venturing provides the foundation to build their ventures.

WHO'S IT FOR? Hoos Venturing accepts applications from University of Virginia students, faculty and staff, including those who have expressed interest in the Venturing Project Squared program and the UVA Entrepreneurship Cup competition, with recommendations from partners across Grounds.

WHEN IS IT? The next session of Hoos Venturing will take place Fall 2021.

WHERE IS IT? Virtual: self-directed and guided, featuring synchronous bi-weekly meetings and asynchronous static materials.

HOW DO I SIGN UP? The Hoos Venturing Fall 2021 Application will become live in September 2021. More information to come soon.

NOTE: Those who previously applied to either the E-Cup Discovery Competition or Venturing Project Squared may use a shortened application. Direct application questions to Jason Brewster at [email protected]
