• Darden's Executive MBA formats offer a convenient combination of in-person and online learning that allow you to form close bonds with your classmates, get hands-on experience around the globe, and build your business education, all while maintaining your life at work, at home and in your community.

All students begin and end the program with a week-long leadership residency on the grounds of the Darden School in Charlottesville, VA. Weekend residencies are on average once a month and take place in Darden's state of the art facility in Rosslyn. During weekends, students follow a Friday through Sunday schedule, with Friday classes beginning at Noon and Sunday classes concluding around 3:45 pm.

In addition, all students participate in at least one week-long global residency, with Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) format students participating in four global residency trips. Past global residency locations include Brazil, China, India, Western Europe and South Africa. In these global quarters, the students participating in a global residency have no weekend residencies.

Students also participate in online distance classes. Distance classes are typically twice a week and meet in the evenings. While distance classes are typically live synchronous sessions, all are recorded, as students occasionally have work or personal conflicts during class time.
